Obituary for Richard S. "Dick" Weber

Richard S. “Dick” Weber, 78 of East Earl, died Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Ephrata Community Hospital after a brief illness.
Born in Ephrata, he was the son of the late Steve and Arlene (Sheaffer) Weber. He was married 57 years on June 22 to Janet (Leakey) Weber.
Dick worked 20 years as a plumber for A.C. Plank in New Holland and later 20 years for Allen Musser in Bowmansville.
He was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Terre Hill. He enjoyed sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. In his younger years he was an All Star catcher for Legion Baseball.
Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Laurie, married to Joseph Hertzler of East Earl; a son, Rich, married to Jen (Parmer) Weber of Terre Hill; five grandchildren, Christie, Allie, Mackenzie, Olivia, and Adam; a great grandson, Brody; and a brother, Dale, married to Gerry (Brown) Weber of East Earl.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Nov. 15 at 11 am with visitation from 10-11 am at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill with the Reverend Robert Eshelman officiating. Interment will be in the Terre Hill Cemetery. To send the family online condolences visit us at www.groffeckenroth.com.
