Ruth A. Yoder, 86, of Lancaster, went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 12th, 2019. She was born on March 18, 1933 in Manheim, PA, to Grace (Bucher), and Harry Zimmerman.

Ruth loved classical music, playing piano and singing, and cooking her favorite dishes for family and friends. She also enjoyed the company of any dog or cat, and she loved snuggling with babies and being in the presence of toddlers and young children.

Ruth is survived by her three children: Miles Yoder married to Dawnell (Miller), Karen Hartz married to Owen, Jim Yoder married to Gina (Groff), and her 9 grandchildren, and 9 great-grand children. She is also survived by her siblings: Harry Zimmerman married to Waneta, Earl Zimmerman, married to JoAnn, Mark Zimmerman married to Karene, and Levi Zimmerman married to Heidi.

The family would like to thank the Mennonite Home for caring for Ruth over the past number of years, and for providing excellent care and support to our family.

Dear Ruth's family, I worked with Ruth at Willow Valley Assisted Living. We worked together at WV Lakeside and then Meadow Ridge. She was a great lady and friend. She was very energetic and consciousous about her work. I miss her. She's at peace now.

Please accept my condolences for the passing of your dear loved one. When someone we love dies, the heartache and grief can be great. I hope that you can be comforted knowing that God cares for you and sees your pain. (1 Peter chapter 5 vs 7) "He is close to the brokenhearted and He saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34 vs 18) May you find comfort and relief during this grievous time, as you cherish the precious memories of Ruth.
