Robert W. Schultz, 80, of Elverson, formerly of Narberth, died Monday, June 20, 2022, at Bryn Mawr Hospital. His wife of 53 years, Lois A. (Adams) Schultz, survives.
Born in Buffalo, NY, he was the son of the late Edward F. and Myrtle (Boyle) Schultz.
Bob graduated from Syracuse High School in 1959 and Valparaiso University in 1963. He taught at the Germantown Lutheran Academy and spent 25 years teaching at Girard College in Philadelphia, retiring in 2006.
He was a member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Honey Brook where he was active as Rector’s Warden for a number of years and served on the Vestry. He was also president of Summerfield Homeowners Association for a number of years. Bob was a master gardener and enjoyed traveling with his family, especially to Bermuda and the beach.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Elisabeth M. married to Dennis Ritaldato Jr, Norristown.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Katrin Suzanne Schultz and a brother Paul E. Schultz.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, 1040 Chestnut Tree Rd., Honey Brook, PA 19344, with The Rev. Kim Guiser officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 – 11 a.m. Bob has requested memorial gifts be given to St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, address above.
