Ralph E. Dellinger Jr., 60, of New Holland, PA passed away on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 after a brief illness.

Born in Ft. Leavenworth, KS on August 2, 1958, he was the son of Bobbie Dellinger (Pruett) and the late Ralph E. Dellinger Sr.

He is survived by Cindy Dellinger, daughter Kimberly (Justin) Levenson, son Benjamin (Kate)
Dellinger, and granddaughter Jeni Mae Dellinger. He is also survived by his siblings Rebecca (Rick) Kensell, Karl (Brenda) Dellinger, and Yolanda (Clifton) Wells, as well as many nieces and nephews, extended family and friends.

After serving in the United States Marine Corps, Ralph worked as the senior groundskeeper for Garden Spot High School, as well as at J.B. Zimmerman's Hardware Store where he was everyone's favorite local hardware store guy.

Ralph had a heart for serving others and was involved in many organizations, but was most passionate about his time as the Make-a-Wish Clown “Tag-a-Long”, where he was able to bring joy to children in need.

A memorial service will be held at Garden Spot High School’s auditorium on Sunday, January 27th, 2019. Visitation from 2:00pm - 3:00pm with service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions be made in his honor to the Make-A-Wish® Mother's Day Truck Convoy, 1054 New Holland Ave, Lancaster, PA 17601, which he looked forward to each year.

Ralph helped me on several occasions at J B Zimmermans, it will be a great loss for all. He was so personable, always ready to help with what you needed. He will be missed, so young to go Home. You have my sympathies.

What do you say about someone who meant the world to everyone that he came in contact with. If you didn't have the privilege to know Ralph you missed an opportunity. Even though Ralph was tall, he was kind and gentle, fun , caring, he was the type of guy that would give you the shirt off his back if needed. Ralph had great character n personality n a sweet spirit. You will be greatly missed Ralph. Im sorry for your loss.

Words aren’t enough to express what a loss this is. Ralph welcomed me into his home as one of the family. I was always greeted with a huge smile and a hug. All the love and hugs to Kim, Justin, Ben, Katie, and Cindy.

It was our good fortune to know Ralph. He always had a kind word and a smile for everyone. Our school district was fortunate to have him as an employee. He was a most positive influence on all of our students and employees. He made every life he touched richer. The world is a better place because of him. Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss.
