Paul E. Wagner, 90, of New Holland, died early morning, Monday, June 24.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Rosene Howe Wagner who died March 2014. Once more they will be together again.
Born December 28, 1928 in Mohnton, Berks County, he was the son of the late George and Edith Wright Schreiber.
Paul served in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1954 and was part of the 406 Combat Engineers. He owned and operated Paul Wagner Auto Service on Locust St. in New Holland for many years.
He was a member of the Evangelical United Methodist Church in New Holland, Earl Lodge IOOF #413, Charles Ludwig VFW Post #7362, Middletown Moose of Pennsylvania and Oak Orchard American Legion Post #28 in Millsboro, DE.
Paul enjoyed horseback riding, hunting and fishing. He spent many enjoyable years, playing cards with family and friends. He looked forward to his frequent getaways at their beach house in Oak Orchard, DE. He had a great sense of humor and knew how to live.
He is survived by sons Michael (Teresa) Miller of Yuma, AZ and Larry (Kathleen Romano) Wagner of New Market, MD; daughters, Karen (Kenneth) Wright of New Holland and Linda (Donald Johnson) Wagner of Millsboro, DE. Five grandchildren, Brian, Kyle and Heather Groff, Travis Wagner and Tyler Moscatelli. Four great grandchildren; two brothers, George Schreiber of Hershey and Larry Schreiber of Ephrata; two sisters, Doris Bowman of Cross Forks, PA, and Jeri Deiner of Parrish, FL. He was preceded in death by a brother, Samuel Schreiber.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 5, at 2:00 P.M. at the Groff High Funeral Home, 145 W. Main St., New Holland, PA. Friends and family may call at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 P.M. until the time of the service. Interment in the Zeltenreich Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the Community Memorial Park, 400 E. Jackson St, New Holland, PA 17557.
