Obituary for Osiris P. Maldonado

Osiris Peillon Maldonado, 77, of New Holland, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at Lancaster General Hospital.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Dionisio and Ignacia Peillon Maldonado, survived by his sister Lazarita Maldonado.
He was the loving husband of Gladys Vargas Maldonado for 42 years, with whom he married on September 6, 1980.
Osiris was a minister at Living Water Christian Ministries in Queens, NY, Fellowship Chapel in Bronx, NY, and Gospel Tabernacle. He served as a deacon at Harvest Fellowship; and attended Worship Center. He was employed as a Police Officer for the New York Police Department for twenty years, he was a Deputy Sheriff for the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Department for seven years, and lastly was an Investigator for the Lancaster County Public Defender's Office for seven years. Osiris was a cadet in the Civil Air Patrol, a member of the Patrolmen’s Benevolent Association, and Cops for Christ in NY. He was a chaplain for Transport for Christ, a member of Lancaster Amateur Radio Club, and Berks Photographic Society. He enjoyed RVing, boating, and fishing with his wife and family.
In addition to his wife, Osiris is survived by his six children: Virginia Maldonado Rosario, Osiris Anthony Maldonado, Robert Maldonado, Antonio Sean Maldonado, Abigail Maldonado, and Amanda Maldonado; as well as many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022 at 11:00 AM at Worship Center, 2384 New Holland Pike, Lancaster PA 17601. There will be a time of visitation held for one hour prior to the time of service.
