Obituary for Nora W. Reiff (Zimmerman)
Nora W. Reiff, 81, of Ephrata, died Friday, June 7, 2019 at Fairmount Homes after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s disease.
Born in East Earl Twp., she was a daughter of the late Christian and Florence M. (Weaver) Zimmerman. Her husband, Ammon Reiff, died Dec. 24, 2015.
Nora worked for 34 years as an LPN at the former Community Hospital in Lancaster. She was also a member of Groffdale Mennonite Church, Groffdale Conference.
Surviving are seven brothers and sisters, Etta W. (Lloyd) Stauffer, Dundee, NY, Earl W. (Minerva) Zimmerman of Memphis, MO, Leah W. Zimmerman of Barnett, MO, Ruth W. (widow of Aaron) Zimmerman of Martinsburg, Titus W. (Anna) Zimmerman of New Holland, Martha W. (David) Zimmerman of Quarryville, and Luke W. (Sue Etta) Zimmerman of Barnett, MO; eight step children, Eva (Ammon) Martin of Mifflinburg, Ella (James) Reiff of Ephrata, Lena (Aaron) Martin of Penn Yan, NY, Alta (Harry) Oberholtzer of Millmont, Lloyd (Marlene Shirk) Reiff of Lititz, Harvey (Ella Mae Sensenig) Reiff of Mifflinburg, Ivan (Sharon Sensenig) Reiff of Lititz, and Ammon, Jr. (Jennifer Weaver) Reiff of Leola; 36 step grandchildren; and 61 step great grandchildren.
Preceding her in death is a step daughter, Edna Oberholtzer.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 12 at 8:30 am at the home of Titus Zimmerman, 1012 West Quarry Road, New Holland with further services at 9:30 am at Groffdale Mennonite Church with the Bishop Ammon Weaver officiating. Interment will be in the adjoining cemetery. Viewing will be at the home of Titus Zimmerman on Tuesday from 1-4 and 6-8 pm. Kindly omit flowers. Arrangements by Groff-High Funeral Home, New Holland.
