Planted in the area of greatest need

I will always remember the young man who came to his sister's softball practices and would truly run the bases, even barefooted when the work boots would not do, just to help us work on defensive plays before a difficult game.

He was always in the stands cheering on his sister and her teammates.
Years later, Matt saw me and was so excited to tell me that he was going to be a Father. He was Sooooo Proud.

As the Coach that recruited your help on the ballfield...Thank you Matt.

When I took charge of the Yard crew at Conestoga Buildings and had to the opportunity to sit down with Mat to lay out a plan for the Yard Team. Mat was all for teamwork and doing what it took to get it done. He faced our new yard challenges head on and we succeeded in achieving our teams goals. My deepest sympathy to his family for this loss of such a young man.

What a tough loss for us all. I only knew him for a couple months since he started at ERC. He was a heck of a guy and a hard worker. He got me through a rough time I would call to check up and make sure I was okay. Sometimes he would had me laughing so hard that my sides hurt. Following his death I was tasked to drive his truck on Monday since mine was down. It was an honor to hold the steering wheel he once held and sit in the seat that he once sat in but it was also sad as I shed some tears and some laughs on the conversations we had that I could bring to memory. He worked hard and he played hard and was always so chipper. He will be deeply missed. Godspeed Mat and God Bless. Till we meet again. Keep on trucking.
