Obituary for Martha W. Ruhl (Keath)

Martha W. Ruhl, 94, a loving wife, mother and grandmother, formerly of Elverson, passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Linden Village in Lebanon, where she had resided for the past three years.
She was the wife of the late Allen H. Ruhl who died in 2019. Born in Rexmont, Lebanon County, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Isabella Carpenter Keath.
Martha had worked in sales for the Talbot Knitting Mill in Morgantown for many years. She was a member of the Cedar Grove Presbyterian Church in East Earl. She had been a lay leader in church and had been the organist at Newtown United Methodist Church and sang in the choir at Harmony United Methodist Church. She enjoyed playing the accordion and piano, baking, and was well known for the many varieties of pies she made.
Surviving is a daughter, Bonita K. wife of Daniel Burden of Lake George, NY; two sons, Allen H. “Cork”, Jr. husband of Robyn Ruhl of Morgantown, and Guy A. husband of Virginia Ruhl of Reinholds; 8 grandchildren, Seth and Corey Piersol, Cortney Ruhl, Samantha Hanks, Jason Ruhl, Kyle and Sean Burden and Erin Ruhl. and 13 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Ruhl, four sisters, Arlene Keath, Erline Shollenberger, Bertha Haverneck and Verna Wise and two step brothers, Russell Snyder and William Keath.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, May 11, at 11:00 A.M. at the Eckenroth Home for Funerals, 209 E. Main St., Terre Hill, PA. The family will greet friends from 10:00 A.M until the time of the funeral. Interment will be private in the Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
