Lorraine L. Witmer, 67, of East Earl, passed away at home, on Tuesday, May 14, 2019.
She was the wife of Kenneth R. Witmer. Born in Sellersville, Bucks County, she was the daughter of Linford F. Landis of Souderton, and the late Sallie B. Kulp Landis.
Lorraine retired as the office manager at Shady Maple Smorgasbord in 2018 after 30 years of employment. She was a member of the Bowmansville Mennonite Church where she had taught Sunday School. Lorraine enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, golf, bowling and archery. Earlier in life she had been a Brownie Troop leader and involved with the Cub Scouts both in Adamstown. She had been a member of the Adamstown Fire Company Auxiliary and had been the treasurer of the Bowmansville Fire Company.
Surviving besides her husband and father is a daughter, Heather R. Witmer; a son Anthony S. husband of Theresa Witmer, both of Terre Hill; three grandchildren; a sister Christine wife of Timothy Weiss of New Holland; and two brothers, Dale K. husband of Ruth Landis of Harleysville, and Ernest K. husband of Fern Landis of Mt. Pleasant Mills.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 18, at 10:00 A.M. at the Bowmansville Mennonite Church, 129 Pleasant Valley Road East Earl, PA. Friends may visit with the family at the church on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in the Bowmansville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603.
