Obituary for Lois A. Lehr (Bryan)

Lois A. Lehr departed this earthly experience Sunday, July 14, 2019 with her family by her side.
She was born April 18, 1931 in York, PA to Ruth Mellon Bryan and Walter S. Bryan of North York.
Lois married Richard R. Lehr of East York on June 21st, 1953. After 12 years of part time studies and simultaneously raising three children, she graduated from West Chester State University in 1974. After a satisfying career as an optician she retired in 1998.
Those that knew her well, appreciated her sweet disposition and strong intellectual curiosity with an interest in current affairs, especially those of a political nature. She had a desire for the furtherance of God’s kingdom and made the best pumpkin pies!
Lois is survived by her husband, Richard Lehr of New Holland; daughter Debi Pekowsky and husband, Robert, of Portsmouth, New Hampshire; son Daniel Lehr and wife Irene of Columbia, MD; son Steven Lehr of Elverson, PA; granddaughter, Amanda Lang and husband, Drew along with her great grandson, Von, Portsmouth, NH; and grandson Daniel Close also of Portsmouth, NH. Her sister, Ruth Geist lives in Poquoson, VA.
A private remembrance will be held Friday, July 19, 2019 from at Garden Spot Village, New Holland, PA.
Memorial donations may be sent to Wycliffe Bible Translators.
