Jean M. Martin, 83, of Ephrata, formerly of Narvon, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, February 15, 2019 at Fairmount Homes.

Born in Reamstown, she was a daughter of the late Paul and Caroline (Scheaffer) Hauck. She would have been married 64 years on February 26 to Robert G. Martin.

Jean was a dedicated home-maker and then worked for 15 years as the front desk clerk for the Colonial Motor Lodge in Denver.

She was a member of Christian Fellowship Church where she enjoyed singing in the choir and in a ladies trio. She especially enjoyed time with her family and grandchildren, including 20 years of vacations together at the Outer Banks. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and playing Scrabble with the family.

Surviving in addition to her husband are four children, Daniel R., married to Elaine (Howard) Martin of New Holland, Diane L., married to Craig Hickey of Lititz, Connie S., married to Joe Kepiro of Lititz, and Patti J., married to Roger Garber of Manheim; 11 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Marian Lines of Lancaster; and a brother, Paul L., married to Dusty Hauck of Ephrata.

Preceding her in death are two brothers, Richard and Glen Hauck.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, Feb. 18 at 11 am at Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland with the Rev. Dr. Doug Bozung and the Rev. David Horst officiating. Interment will be private in the adjoining cemetery. The family will receive friends following the memorial service. Dear Bob and Martin family, You have my sincere condolences on the passing of Jean. I was surprised to see it in the paper.I know she is in a much better place. I had enjoyed getting to know her when i helped take care of her over at Fairmount. I will not be able to be at the service as i just had both of my knees replaced last month, but your family is in my prayers.

Dear Martin family,
Our heartfelt prayers are with your whole family.
We will be praying for you tomorrow especially and I'm sorry we will not be able to join you as Bob has a doctor's appointment
that we are unable to reschedule. Now Jean is with her dear Savior and totally healed and we rejoice in God's promise of eternal life. Love and prayers to each of you,
Bob and Lori Kepiro
