Frank was born in Philadelphia on March 9, 1926; he was a son of the late Blaise and Jenny (McGarrigle) Kuserk. On July 1, 1950 Frank married Jane Homka and later moved to West Deptford, NJ in 1955.
Frank joined the Navy in 1943 at the age of 17 and served aboard the submarine USS Gato in the Pacific making three successful patrols during WWII and remained in the naval reserve for 22 years retiring with the rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade. Frank graduated from Pennsylvania Military College (now Widener University) in 1951 with a degree in Engineering and worked for Texaco for 32 years before retiring in 1984.
After the passing of his wife, Jane, Frank married Trudy Clancy in 1998. He moved to Garden Spot Village, New Holland, where he formed and played with the Garden Spot House Band and for many years prepared tax returns for the residents of Garden Spot and the surrounding community.
Frank was active in Boy Scouts, Little League, Band Parents Association, and a number of additional bands including the Bonsal Blues, The Sentimental Gentlemen, and The New Holland Band.
Frank was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church (New Holland, PA) where he sang in the choir and was a member of the Knights of Columbus and was formerly a member of St. Margaret Church (Woodbury Heights, NJ) where he served as a Lector. Frank was also a life member of the Submarine Veterans of WWII, the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Military Officers Association of America.
Surviving in addition to his wife Trudy, are two sons, Gregory, married to Linda (Jacobs) Kuserk of Derwood, MD, and Robert, married to Mary Anne (Gardiner) Kuserk of Mt. Laurel, NJ; a daughter-in-law, Evelyn Kuserk of Bethlehem, PA; two step sons, Michael Clancy of Dresher, PA, and John Clancy of Lancaster, PA; six grandchildren; two step grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and a sister, Sally Maronski of Deptford, NJ.
Preceding him in death is his first wife Jane (Homka), a son, Frank Kuserk, daughter, Janice Kuserk; and brother, David Kuserk.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, February 13 at 2:00 PM at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557. Interment will be in the Eglington Memorial Gardens in Clarksboro, NJ on Thursday, February 14 at 11:00 AM.
