Obituary for Florence Marie Gordon
Florence M. Gordon, 91, died peacefully in her sleep at home on March 3, 2021 and has gone to be with the Lord.
She was born June 19, 1929 in Greenwich Village, NY, the daughter of Michael and Frances (Coffey) St. John.
Florence grew up in Hamilton Beach, NY and moved to Howard Beach, NY in 1961 and to East Earl, PA in 1973.
Florence was loved by so many. She always knew how to brighten someone's day. She treated everyone with kindness and respect. She rarely got mad and when she did, you knew she had a darn good reason! She loved her family first and enjoyed old movies, bingo, the gambling casino and gardening. We are grateful to have had a mother who embraced each day with optimism.
Florence married Gerard Westmiller in 1949 and was widowed in 1954.
She married William Gordon on June 4, 1955, and they celebrated 52 years of marriage. William passed on April 10, 2008.
In addition to her parents, and husbands she was predeceased by sisters Eleanor Kelly and Anna Weaver.
Florence was a loving mother to her surviving seven children; Fran Giamarino, Ellen Westmiller (Joe) Judice, Gary (Lisa Chae) Gordon, Michael (Sherri) Gordon, Joanne Gordon, Marge Hehnly, Bill (Anna) Gordon, 8 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.
A visitation will be held at Eckenroth Funeral Home, Inc., 209 East Main Street
Terre Hill, PA 1758-0031 on Monday, March 8, from 10 AM - 1 PM. A service will be held at 1:00 PM with burial following.
