Obituary for Edward "Eddie" Rogevich

Edward “Eddie” Rogevich headed down the third base line all the way to home on July 5, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 51 years Cheryl (Summers) Rogevich of Honey Brook, his siblings Judy Hatt (David) of Downingtown, Raymond Rogevich (Beverly) of Oxford and Joseph Rogevich (Justine) of Lancaster, his children Christa Carlson (William) of Downingtown, Paula Walsh (Neal) of Gap and Matthew Rogevich (Diana) of Merion Station, as well as his seven loving grandchildren: Josh and Jake Carlson, Jordan, Nick and Connor Walsh, Sara and Benny Rogevich. Eddie was a proud Army Veteran and never missed a Memorial Day Parade. He worked as a foreman for Lukens Steel for 40 years. After retirement Eddie worked as a grounds keeper for the ELANCO School District. In his spare time, he played softball for the Brandywine Valley Senior Softball league and golf with his crew. He made sure everyone in his family felt special and enjoyed life whether it was playing backyard golf, going for ice cream, shooting bow and arrow, sledding, watching airplanes or playing in the pool. He attended every event of his grandchildren to show his love and support. In his spare time, he enjoyed grocery shopping, bike riding and swimming in the pool. Eddie loved his “Cherlie Lou Lynn” more than anything. Their relationship was a special bond that was cherished and observed by family and friends. Eddie and Cheryl were always together and were partners in life until the end. They traveled, enjoyed the outdoors, and most importantly spent every Sunday night by each other’s side watching “Yellowstone.” This love will forever live on through memories. Eddie was well-known for his kind heart, sporty soul and child-like spirit. In lieu of flowers, we ask for donations to Eddie’s favorite foundation: Wounded Warrior Project.
