Edward E. Millard, 84, formerly of Elverson, passed away on September 11, 2022 at Hickory House, he was a resident of Heatherwood Retirement Community.
Born in Elverson, he was the son of the late Jonathan and Florence (Keiffer) Millard.
He was the loving husband of the late Geraldine E. (Moyer) Millard, with whom he shared sixty-one years of marriage until the time of her passing on April 12, 2022.
Edward was a member of Goodwill United Methodist Church in Elverson, where he had served as a trustee, the head of offering and various other committees. He was employed as a plasterer. He enjoyed fishing, watching the Phillies, country music, singing and playing his guitar. He would often visit with others and spent lots of time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughters: Susan wife of Jeffrey Wolfe of Elverson and Cindy wife of Donald Tantala, grandchildren: Amanda wife of Daniel Wolfgang, Ashley wife of Dominic DiSantis, Derek husband of Elizabeth Tantala and Ryan husband of Casey Tantala and great grandchildren: Sydney, Sadie, Summer, Lawson and Carmen. Also surviving are sisters: Charlotte O’Neill and Geraldine Kaiser.
In addition to his wife and his parents, he is predeceased by his siblings: Johnny Millard, Horace Millard and Mazie McGinnis.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 16, 2022 at 4:00 PM at Goodwill United Methodist Church, 148 Church Road, Elverson PA 19520 with Pastor Bradley Miller. There will be a viewing held for one hour prior to the time of service. Interment will be in the adjoining church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the church at the address above.
