Obituary for Dorothy D. Cronin

Dorothy D. Cronin, 91, a resident of Garden Spot Village, New Holland, passed away at the home on Friday, April 5, 2019.
She was the wife of the late Cornelius “Neil” Cronin, Jr., who died in 2011. Born in Darby, PA she was the daughter of the late Marshall E. and Edith Johnston Davis.
Dorothy received her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from West Chester University and retired from the Great Valley School District where she had taught kindergarten for 26 years. She was a member of the Christian Fellowship Church in New Holland, and an associate member of the Garden Spot Village Community Church. She enjoyed conducting historical tours in Philadelphia and Lancaster.
Surviving are four daughters, Leslie wife of Rick Renninger of Elverson, Valerie Varano of Alexandria, VA, Kim Longenecker of Malvern, and Hollie Clark wife of Bob Padgett of West Chester. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and 25 great grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 20, at 12:00 Noon at the Chapel at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA. The family will greet friends at the chapel on Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Cronin’s memory may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 758 Spruce Road, New Holland, PA 17557 or to Equipping Leaders International, Attn: Robert Jones, 627 Misty Breeze St., Davenport, FL 33897.
