William H. Gundlah, 88, of Garden Spot Village, was called to his eternal home on Friday, February 9, 2018.
He was married 56 years to Irene M. Hagenow Gundlah. Born in Teaneck, NJ he was the son of the late Herbert and Josephine Osterman Gundlah.
William received a Bachelor’s Degree from Valparaiso University and a Master’s Degree in Library Science from the University of Illinois. He was employed as a librarian at Ball State University in Munci, IN, then at Eastern University in St. Davids, PA. For many years he and his wife owned The Part Nook, a Hallmark Store, in Stafford, PA.
He was a believer in the Lord Jesus Christ and was a member of St. Stephen Reformed Church in New Holland. He had served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
Surviving besides his wife are two sisters, Ruth Meier and Shirley Zavori both of Aravada, CO. He was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Gundlah.
Services and interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mr. Gundlah’s memory may be made to St. Stephen Reformed Church, 249 E. Main St., New Holland, PA 17557 or to the Benevolent Fund at Garden Spot Village, 433 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland, PA 17557.
